Don’t be intimidated by a longtime incumbent with a big war chest - if there was ever a year in which being an incumbent and having the support of lobbyists, insiders and political powerbrokers was a hindrance, not a help, this is that year. And remember, you don’t have to run for Congress to make a difference. Running for any office, no matter how far down the ballot, is worthy of your efforts.
